Your wedding, your information.

What we store
ShaadiShop stores your email address and account session information when you sign in. Wedding drafts are stored on your device. Choosing Save to account also stores your plan in our database, including names, dates, events, shopping links, budgets, vendor contacts and any notes you enter.
Site usage and plan notifications
We record page views on selected planning pages and browser-draft creation events using a random browser-tab identifier. We exclude sample-plan URLs and do not collect page query strings, private share links, or the contents of browser drafts for analytics. Usage events are retained for 90 days. Requests may be missed when offline or blocked. We use short-lived keyed network-address hashes to limit abuse. Creating an account, creating a draft or first saving a plan sends an activity notification to the ShaadiShop operator. These emails contain the activity type and time, not your wedding details. Signup notifications also include your account email address. Aggregate usage and operational notification records are visible only in our private admin dashboard.
What you share
Publishing creates a wedding website containing the couple’s names, wedding destination and date, story, photo link, welcome message, event details, travel notes and registry links. Anyone with its address can read it. Private tasks, budgets, vendors and guest lists are excluded. Unpublishing stops future access and pauses RSVP forms, but cannot erase copies already downloaded or shared.
Invited human planners
Either planning partner can invite a human planner to a separate signed-in workspace. The planner can see your latest saved brief, traditions, schedule, task titles and shared discussion. You separately choose whether to share shopping budget figures and vendor estimates, vendor contact details, and permission to update completion and notes on tasks assigned to “Planner”. Private vendor notes and guest records are excluded. Information you write into shared free-text fields is visible to the planner; keep private information out of those fields. Planner invitations expire after seven days unless accepted. Either partner can revoke access. Revocation cannot erase previously viewed or downloaded information. Shared discussions remain with the wedding after access is removed.
Planner handoffs
A handoff includes the wedding brief, celebrations, responsibilities, shopping and vendor estimates, and questions for your planner. You can choose to include vendor contacts and private notes. Sharing stores a snapshot accessible to anyone with its private link for 30 days. Either planning partner can replace or revoke it. Guest lists, RSVPs and chat transcripts are excluded. Downloads remain with their recipients after revocation.
Wedding communications and invitation cards
We store message drafts, selected recipients, approval identity, scheduled times, automatic assistance preferences and time zone, and email service results so both planning partners can manage reminders and follow-ups. Task assignments link to connected account identities; name-only references do not receive assignment emails. Approved messages are sent through Amazon SES; replies go to the approving partner’s account email. We do not track inbox delivery, opens or replies. Recipients can stop future messages from that wedding using the email preference link. We retain their opt-out address to honor that choice. Deleting the wedding owner’s account removes its queue and history, but cannot recall emails or downloaded cards. Invitation cards can contain a private household RSVP link: share those cards only with that household.
Location suggestions
When you type at least three characters in a location field, we send the city text to Google Maps after a short pause to suggest matching cities. You can instead enter your location manually. The location you choose becomes part of your wedding details; a Google place ID may also be saved to help locate vendor searches. Suggestion lists and lookup coordinates are not stored in our database. We keep usage counters, including a keyed hash of your network address, to enforce daily and monthly limits. No precise device location is requested.
Vendor discovery
When you request vendor discovery, we send the category, location and optional specialty to Google Maps, or to SearchAPI for Yelp when you choose that option. These queries are not sent to an AI model. We do not store provider search results in your account. A saved reference contains its source link and your own label and notes. We keep account-linked usage counters to enforce search allowances. Google’s Privacy Policy also applies to its services.
Planning with your partner
Inviting a partner stores their email for an invitation that expires after seven days. They must sign in with that email and accept before accessing your plan. Both of you can see and edit all saved planning details and guest responses, request AI help, and publish or unpublish the website. The owner can remove partner access; copies already saved on a partner’s device cannot be erased remotely.
Guest invitations and RSVPs
We store household names, contact names, optional contact emails, guest allowances, invited events and deadlines entered by the couple. Guests can submit names, attendance, optional dietary preferences and a note. The couple and their planning partner can view and export responses. Anyone holding a household’s private RSVP link can view and change that household’s response; do not share it outside your household. These details are not included on the public website or sent to Meher. Couples can remove households and revoke or replace invitation links.
Photos and registry websites
A custom couple photo loads directly from the image host chosen by the couple, which receives normal browser request information. Opening a registry link takes you to that provider, whose privacy policy applies. ShaadiShop does not process registry purchases or payment details.
Services that support the app
We use Vercel to host the app, Neon to store account and wedding data, and Amazon SES to deliver sign-in emails. These services may process data outside your country. We do not sell your wedding information. Please avoid entering passport numbers, payment card details or other sensitive documents.
Contact messages
When you use our contact form, we send your name, email address, category and message to our team’s inbox through Amazon SES. Replies are handled through Google Workspace. We retain correspondence as needed to respond and manage follow-up; you can request deletion. Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and network signals to protect the form from spam. We keep daily counters with a hashed network identifier to limit abuse. Contact messages are not sent to Meher.
Conversations with Meher
When you chat with Meher, your messages, the current conversation and draft wedding details are processed by our AI service providers. We also supply your signed-in account display name, planning role, saved wedding brief and whether a plan exists on this device or your account. We do not send your account email, guest list or private vendor notes as account context. This includes any names or traditions you choose to share; first names or nicknames are enough. Your conversation stays in this browser tab’s session storage. Conversations older than 24 hours are not restored when you reopen the page. Chats are separated by signed-in account and do not sync across devices. Long conversations have an explicit length limit; earlier turns are not silently discarded. Start fresh clears the chat, while your existing wedding brief remains available. We do not save these conversations in our account database. We keep daily usage counters with a hashed network identifier to limit misuse; hosting and AI providers may maintain service logs. No account is required to chat. Creating a plan saves it on your device; saving to an account is a separate action.
Planner AI suggestions
When you ask Meher for checklist suggestions, your question and wedding context (locations, date, preparation budget, events, traditions and task titles) are sent to our AI service providers to generate suggestions. We exclude the couple names field. Other text you enter may include information you choose to share. Request identifiers, input hashes and generated suggestions are stored with your account for reliable retries. You choose which suggestions to keep. Do not include sensitive personal information in your request.
Cookies and device storage
We use necessary session cookies to keep you signed in and local storage for drafts. On a shared device, clear your local draft after exporting anything you want to keep.
Deleting information
Deleting the owner’s account deletes the shared cloud plan and guest publication, guest list and RSVP responses for both partners. Deleting a partner’s account removes their access but preserves the owner’s plan. This does not clear drafts on other devices. Deleted records may remain temporarily in provider backups until those backups expire.
